CMM & 3-D Scanning
Quality is of utmost importance at Fenixx. We use a conventional CMM for many of our inspection requirements, but also utilize newer technologies such as laser scanners. Laser scanning can accurately measure most in-process and final inspection part checks. They also make these checks much quicker then CMM's. By using a point cloud digitizer, a map comparison can be made to accurately inspect your parts to the original CAD data.
GD&T feature checks can be made without the use of check gages, saving time and money. Part evaluations are easy to read with our simple to decipher reports. We also offer full CMM inspection processes including PPAP, capability studies and gage repeatability studies.

Reverse EngineeringReverse engineering is a process in which a part with no previous data is digitized. A scan or point cloud is created, and then transformed into a polygonal mesh. This mesh is now used to create a network of NURBS surfaces. When brought into a cad system these models are useful in part modification, virtual assembly and data creation. |
